Hello Mums,

My baby will be missing his vaccination appointment (by 10 days) as we will be travelling. He's 6 months old, I'm wondering whether missing the shot by 10 days is a problem?

I am unable to reach our pediatician to confirm.

Has anybody been in this same situation?

We had ours at 5 1/2 month instead (because we were leaving for summer holidays then and I wanted to make sure all vaccines are from the same manufacturer). Our doc said as long as there is minimum of 4 weeks between vaccinations it is all fine, longer is not a problem.

My baby missed his 6-months vaccine for almost two months ... It's not a big issue. He did it stronger and he got no collateral effect

It should be okay. 10 days isn't that long. I had one set done a month late as their was no stock of the vaccine. Many people have the vaccine date rescheduled if the baby is sick or recovering from a sickness. So it's not something to worry too much about. Just reschedule it for as soon as you are back.
