School Holiday Dates in Qatar 2017/2018

The school holidays and term breaks will not differ too much between the different schools as the Supreme Education Council (SEC) of Qatar has announced that all school schedules, regardless of whether the school is public or private should coincide somewhat. We have the academic calendar for the 2017/2018 academic year so that you and your family can start planning how to spend the school holidays and book that family vacation today!

There are 130 private schools in Qatar, 54 of which have adopted the British Curriculum and 12 which use the American Curriculum.

Term 2
1st January 2017: First day of term for students
27th January – 4th February: Mid-term break
13th April – Last day of term

Term 3
23rd April: 1st day of term
22nd June: Last day of term

Term 1
18th September: Start of a new year
30th October to November 3rd: Mid-term break
15th December: last day of term

Term 2
19th December: First day of term
25th December - 2nd Januarry: Winter break
3rd January 2018: School resumes
29th January - 2nd February: Mid-term break
30th March: Term two ends

Term 3 
2nd April: Term three begins
16th April - 20th April: Mid-term break
22nd June: Last day of term
