There is a lot to do here in Qatar, you just have to get out there and find it!
Umm Salal Mohammed Fort is located about 20 kms towards north of Doha and well worth the journey. It is built during late nineteenth and twentieth centuries during the reign of the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Jasim. This Fort is characterized by its thick walls, impressive façade containing various decorative and architectural elements. Its ‘T’ shape is considered a unique architectural style in the Gulf region.
The opening hours can be irregular, but if you get the chance to go inside you will discover a more decorative architectural style.
