Doha Golf Club

Golf clubs in Qatar, golf courses in Qatar

Doha Golf Club is the only grass golf course in Qatar.  It has an 18-hole Championship Course, a nine-hole Academy Course, a large driving range and putting green, eight artificial lakes, beautiful landscaping with 5000 shrubs, 6000 trees, 10 000 cacti, and a traditional Arabic styled clubhouse perched atop the highest part of the course.

The Championship Course can be a challenging course with lakes doubling as eye candy as well as obstacles while the Academy Course is less demanding for beginners or a quick game for more seasoned players.

The 7,312 yard, 18-hole Championship course and floodlit nine-hole Academy course are open daily to members and non-members.

In addition to a state-of-the-art teaching and practice facility with custom-built chipping, putting and bunker areas, the Club is also home to a number of restaurants, lounges and conference rooms.

Since 1998, the Doha Golf Club has hosted the Qatar Masters tournament, a regular feature on the European Tour schedule.

Eight years later, the Course was further developed into an 18-hole course to host the Middle East Oil Industry Golf Association (MEOIGA) Trophy Championships.

The Club hosts the prestigious Qatar Petroleum Challenge Trophy and a few other competitions and championships.

Ma’Saeed’s facilities also include a swimming pool, tennis court, banquet hall, snooker, a children’s play park, table tennis and a cafeteria.
