I sometimes wonder if my husband is the most inconsiderate man alive :) I love him to bits of course but the other night something happened which I can't stop thinking about and i'm actually laughing now but it just made me think of other stupid/careless/inconsiderate things he and all men do!

He was in the kitchen, i heard something fall and smash. He came out and said "sorry i broke a bowl, but i swept it all into a corner for you so it's easier to hoover up or pick up, whatever is most convenient :)" bear in mind i'm due a baby next week so bending down at all is near impossible. And my husband actually felt so proud for gathering all the shards of glass together to make my life easy :)

Other examples? :)

As I left the house one day I asked DH if he would tumble dry the laundry in the washing machine. I got home and removed decidely stinky socks etc from tumble dryer..still hot and very dry but smelly! turns out the washing machine hadn't started but he had taken the washing (how he didn't notice it was already dry, I will never know!) from the washine machine, loaded it into the tumble dryer and set it to spin for 2 hours.

My DH is not perfect.... he can be a bit of a nag bag, BUT, at least twice a week, he will sort the laundry basket, do a couple of loads of washing (on the right cycle) and hang it out to dry! Thanks hon!

My DH reads the newspaper every morning and everyday he leaves it scattered all over the place. By the way, why does Gulf News give such a big bunch of newspapers every single day!

My DH like lots of men has a habit of leaving the toilet seat up. Normally this isn't much of a problem, but I'm almost 8 months pregnant at the moment and need to pee much more often. I don't turn on the lights if I wake up in the middle of the night. Consequently I have 'fallen' in twice in recent weeks. Not fun and it won't be much longer till if it happens again I will need DH to get 'out' again. I told him this to which he replied, call me if it happens and I'll go and grab the camera first... Still love him to bits and know he is only joking. Do you have a cat? Tell him the cat will drown in the toilet - then they seem to listen... He is very clean bless him. My Brother asks why i do not lift it up when i have finished. Haha Tell him how far **** etc travels when he flushes a toilet with no lid !!!

My first mothers day came, and i made it clear, its special, its my first....shruged his shoulders and walks out the door. But to my surprise i get a knock on the door and a delivery from Edibles....fruit dipped in chocolate, (my worst kind on treat, as i am super picky with fruit), he thought he was helping me to try more fruit but needless to say he got me something he would enjoy. Turns out they wern't so great and they rotted away lol But its the thought that counts....right??? Is it bad I just looked up Edibles and am thinking of ordering some for DH anniversary secretly knowing he probably won't be here so I can eat them?! I have heard 2 conflicting reports......so we shall await yours.

I think people need to lighten up - we are talking very minor things here, a lot of which are typical male traits. I don't think any marriage will be rocked by their husband not folding his t-shirts properly, buying his wife a weed whacker for her birthday or snoring lol! It is a lighthearted thread and I don't believe anyone here is really disrespecting their husband. I say this stuff to my DH's face. We have a marriage based on taking the complete p*** out of each other and end up rolling around laughing. He even jokes when he's been a wally "go on, share it with EW" with a big smile on his face. I agree if anyone shared that their husband beat them, or was verbally abusive, had a drink problem or was cruel to the children then it would be different but complaining about making a mess in the kitchen - COME ON! *LIKE* scrap that! make that *LOVE* :) Love love love :)

We top you by a few years JoyceB ..... and have to agree we are still happy and love each other dearly. From the beginning we have been honest with each other and when he does something silly like bringing home a rolls Royce dustbin ( do you all remember the expensive dust bin thread ) I make sure he knows that we really don't need to spend $ 200 on a bin( it was returned) If you don't let your OH know about an annoying habit or that they have upset you they will carry on doing it and soon a mole hill becomes a mountain. I have been reading this thread to DH and boy have we had a good laugh, to me it has been harmless banter about how truly different men and woman are. Good luck MrsAbdalla with the new arrival.I know when I was pregnant I would have probably just dissolved in tears if DH had left the glass shards in the corner..... edited by Nomad on 16/04/2013

I don't think this thread was about making a mess in the kitchen. Anyway, we all choose our beds.
