Chuckecheese close to wafi is new but not sure if they do birthday parties. The play area at wafi is suitable for older children, there is also little explorers in Mirdif city centre suitable for the age range you're looking for.

actually I have gone to this place but its really small. not suitable for children above 4 yrs old so the older bunch will get thoroughly bored. Thanks anyways. Any other suggestions are welcome ladies...

There's a new-ish (prob open about 8 months) play area in Executive Towers in Business Bay. I have never attended a birthday party there but it's a relatively small play area that has party rooms and would be perfect for younger children as it's not very busy. The 8 year olds might get a bit bored as I think it's more tailored for the younger children, but I'm sure they would find a way to keep them entertained.
