Nightlife in Kuwait

There are no pubs or nightclubs as Kuwait has laws banning alcohol and public dancing. You will not find any major pop concerts here either, but many good bands are playing only a short flight away in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

It is still possible to have a good social life in Kuwait however, as the expat community can be very close with many people holding parties in their homes. The hotels and beach clubs also offer themed evenings with amazing buffets and DJ's so that people can enjoy evenings out.

There are a number of balls and functions held at the various Embassies which are always very popular with expats; be sure to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment!

The cinemas, restaurants and Malls are also very popular in the evenings, as is a stroll along the Corniche (promenade) by the sea when the weather cools down (October-May). You will see many families enjoying barbecues on grassed areas or on some beaches, especially at the weekends and public holidays.
