1. Eggs are a very good source of protein loaded with vitamins and minerals.

2. Beans and all kinds of pulses- They help boost your appetite and improve insulin resistance.

3. Nuts are high in fibre and protein but do make sure you eat the raw kind, the ones that have been roasted or smoked are full of salt and fat and will do you more harm than good! A handful as a mid morning snack will curb your craving for a chocolate bar or a bag of chips! 

4. Fresh vegetables have lots of fibre, water and vitamins. They are a necessity in our diet and help a lot in weight loss.

5. Soups are a great compromise to help you feel fuller for longer.

6. Whole grains like oatmeal are a great source of soluble fibre and are full of vitamin B.

7. Apples are full of fibre that will make you full and satisfied, try eating more than one if you feel very hungry.

8. Olive oil is high in mono-unsaturated fats and lower in saturated fats than other oils. Think twice before using vegetable oils or if they can be substituted.

9. Dark Chocolate - If you have a sweet tooth, just one square per day is what you should have, it will help curb hunger very quickly and is full of vitamins and oleic acid.

10. Green tea helps your metabolism to burn more calories especially if you are working out!
