Bridesmaid dresses are one of the most controversial pieces of garments at a wedding. You don’t have to be a bridesmaid to understand that. You don’t even have to attend a wedding. Just watch a wedding-themed movie or a TV show or better yet, ask a friend who’s been in the tough spot.
You want to look your best but the fundamental rule says: Never outshine the bride.
But even with the rules and all, there have been a lot of cases where bridesmaid stole the bride’s thunder and that too, not in a good way. There have been some crazy cases where the bridal squad decided to experiment with unflattering silhouettes, unfortunate colour schemes and awkward cuts.
We can’t say if it was the bride’s way of securing her position as the prettiest of all or just a bad case of styling but below are some of the many bridesmaid dresses that will make you cringe.
