We all remember Carrie Bradshaw opting for the simple vintage courthouse wedding suit, after she was stood up in the eccentric Vivienne Westwood wedding gown –as now Sarah Jessica Parker has crafted her own humble line of dresses fit for the understated bride IRL.

The actress turned fashion designer, Sarah Jessica Parker, has partnered with American online store Gilt to create her first ready-to-wear bridal collection, SJP Bridal. The collaboration includes 10 non-traditional gowns which reflect Sarah Jessica Parker’s own style and uniqueness –as the actress herself was a bride who dressed in black! Of course, the bridal line also includes 15 pairs of signature SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker shoes.

Appealing to the modern and unconventional bride, SJP has produced a wedding dress collection which ranges from a bridal jumpsuit to a feathered, yet still modest gown. The bridal line accentuates simplicity and elegance, with pieces for every wedding occasion, from the wedding breakfast to the bachelorette party and the big day.

Although Sarah Jessica Parker’s wedding dresses may appear unassuming, there are still some classic stand-out features which would make any bride feel special and sophisticated. With a sleeveless bodysuit, a backless dress, decorated bows and embroidered flowers, there are traditional elements of white, as well as touches of pink, black, blue and muted grey.
