Why Last Minute Changes Are Bad For Your Wedding Day

You’re the bride – the queen of the hour and your wish is everyone's command. But unless you’re ready to be remembered as ‘the one who messed up’ — we strongly suggest you resist the urge to make any last minute changes in your wedding plans.

Here is every reason why making impulsive changes can be disastrous for your big day:

1. Your sudden changes would most likely result in chaos and fines. Things are running on a schedule and any change would cost you extra effort, money and a lot of arguments. Changing venue, adding more dessert options, playing with floral arrangements – be prepared to pay an extra fee for your mood swings.

2. You're important but your guests have RSVP'd. They have rescheduled their personal matters to join you for the ceremony. Courtesy demands you keep things as smooth as possible so as to avoid seeing any fuming faces while walking down the aisle.

3. Contrary to what you think, you don’t own the vendors. They are professionals who often have more than one event to attend in a day. You’ve made commitments week’s ahead so any last minute demand would be met with resistance, quarrels and non-refundable charges.

4. It could be wedding jitters. There was a lot Pinterest scrolling, decision-making and bargaining involved. Your sudden plans to change everything could only be the result of wedding jitters — question yourself 10 times before acting on your impulses.

5.No matter how romantic, eloping needs planning too. Even if you turn a blind eye to the huge dent your escapade would cause in your bank account, there is still a long list of to-dos: Flight tickets, hotel booking, emergency texts, finding a church, phone calls - and missing out on a perfectly planned day. Are you sure you want to elope?
