It is what it is - we live in a youth-obsessed world. If we weren't, botox and fillers wouldn't be all the rage.

However, if you are looking for a less invasive way to look younger - avoid the following 7 mistakes.

1. Glasses

Don't get us wrong - reading glasses can look incredibly chic, they just don't make you look youthful.

2. Cardigans

It seems like the ultimate layering piece - perfect for when you want to cover up your arms. However, because a cardigan lacks structure, it can put you in the mom category almost instantly.

You are better off wearing a structured jacket or blazer.

3. Mom Jeans

How these came back in fashion is a bit of a headscratcher. They don't look good on anyone (except Kendall Jenner - but that girl would look good in a potato sack) and age you instantly.

4. Old lady handbags

What makes an old lady handbag? A tote style bag, preferably quilted. Major brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Marc Jacobs design old-lady bags but they are probably targeted towards old ladies. A cross-body is a great young lady bag option.

5. Too much makeup

The pictures below say everything. Even though the picture was taken in 2016, Kim Kardashian looks so fresh and young when compared to the picture taken in 2011 in which she looks old and harsh because of excessive makeup.

6. Grey hair

We are probably going to get a lot of flak for this, but celebrities need to stop trying to make grey hair happen. It makes you look older - no matter how cool/edgy you think it looks.
