Meghan Markle started her royal tour in a dress by an Aussie designer

Spotted in Sydney –The Duchess of Sussex showing off her small bump in a gorgeous white dress by Australian designer Karen Gee.
The Meghan effect is still alive and well –as Australian designer Karen Gee’s website crashed after the Duchess wore one of the brand’s dresses on the first day of her royal tour abroad.
Considering Meghan has just announced she’s pregnant with her first child, it seems particularly fitting the outfit she chose is called the ‘Blessed Dress’.
The royal couple has begun their tour in Sydney, and are embarking on a 16-day journey around Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.
The Duchess paid tribute to Australia by picking a native designer, and Gee is a good choice to cater for her growing bump as the brand’s ethos is all about body positivity and catering to all shapes and sizes.
Luckily, the website is back up and running and you can buy the dress yourself – if you’ve got A$1,800 (AED 4,700) to spare.
The Duchess of Sussex later swapped the dress for a dark green number by Brandon Maxwell, which she paired with Dior stilettos.
Throughout the day, Meghan accessorised her chic maternity outfits with jewellery that belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. In the touching tribute, Meghan wore a pair of delicate butterfly earrings and a gold bangle.
As the world stays on #bumpwatch, we’re excited to see how Meghan will style her pregnancy journey and her royal tour!
