From feathers to refined lines and big bows, Elie Saab’s SS18 haute couture collection filled the runway with fairy-tale gowns, as the Middle Eastern designer continues to dominate classic couture.
Paris Couture Fashion Week 2018 was treated to a show from Lebanese fashion designer, Elie Saab, on Wednesday, as fellow Lebanese couturier Zuhair Murad also showcased his designs on the same day. Thus the Middle East, and in particular Lebanon, proved once again that they create fashion couture royalty!
Elie Saab’s collection was titled “Paris est une Fête,” as it drew inspiration from 1920’s Paris and art deco vibes with glamourous gowns adorned in Ostrich feathers and accessorised with beaded French head caps. Silvery blue and champagne tones gracefully glided down the runway’s staircase to front row of fashionistas including Olivia Palermo, Lana El Sahely and Sara Sampaio.
A couture masterpiece, Elie Saab’s show was not to be missed…
