Fashion Forward Dubai Returns for 2019 October Edition

Dubai's most exciting fashion show is back - and is transforming into a 'Shop Now' fashion platform

Fashion Forward Dubai will be returning to the emirate on the 30th of October till the 2nd of November, 2019 at the Dubai Design District.

And for this year, the event is transformed itself into a “shop-now” fashion platform, meaning that the pieces to be showcased will be available to purchase during the event, to those attending and online.

While showcasing elements that are familiar to the past seasons, guests will also see exciting developments in line with the maturing needs of the regional fashion industry, combining with the changing nature of fashion weeks worldwide.

Fashion Forward Dubai will be amplifying the retail pop-up. Containing a selection of the region’s leading apparel and accessory designers, while also reviving global brand and partner activations across the venue. all of which will take on fashion-skewed programming that will communicate each brand’s affinity and interest in this region.

Since Fashion Forwards Dubai’s launch in 2013, it has been a powerful platform for emerging and established designers. In the next edition, it’s considering applicants from celebrated international designers that have an interest in the region. They also aim to showcase global brands who hold collections that are exclusive to the middle east.

As d3 evolves, it is vital that such platforms also grow, and this edition will allow collections to be purchased at the event through the ‘shop now’ fashion platform” said Khadija Al Bastaki, Executive Director, Dubai Design District.

“The opportunity to ‘buy it now’ is a key element of FFWD 2019, as we evolve one of the region’s most compelling fashion platforms,” said Bong Guerrero, CEO and Co-Founder of Fashion Forward Dubai.

“Given our long-standing and deep-rooted presence in the regional fashion industry, we have come to understand that this is the best way to merge the retail advantage that Dubai has to offer with the commercial objectives of developing and established brands. Based on this we are connecting with dynamic designers, brands, and retail partners to bring our innovative vision to life,” he added.

Designer registration for Fashion Forward’s next edition is now open with limited spaces available. To participate, designers can register at www.fashionforward.ae. Participation is subject to approval by a committee of fashion experts from the region’s industry. Designers are advised to register by the closing date, June 27, 2019.
