When a Chanel fashion show takes place, expect no less than a spellbinding spectacle.
After the much talked about sci-fi themed Chanel fashion show last season, the giant fashion house decided to be more grounded and pay homage to their home base - Paris. And they did this by creating a giant replica of the city's most iconic trademark, the Eiffel Tower.

And what's a Chanel fashion show without celebrities? The likes of Pharrell Williams, Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, Katy Perry, Tracee Ellis Ross, Rowan Blanchard, Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart and more graced the front rows.

In terms of the actual fashion, boater hats which were ubiquitous in the 20th century dominated the show.

Much unlike Chanel's usual shows, the makeup was ultra-colourful and contrasted beautifully with the dark-hued collection.

At the end of the show, Karl Lagerfeld received the highest honour of Paris presented to him by the city's mayor - Anne Hidalgo.
