Last night the Fashion Awards 2017 took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall, as celebrities gathered to acknowledge the fashion industry’s most creative talent and influential figures.
During the honours list Adwoa Aboah beat both Kaia Gerber and the Hadid sisters for the prestigious award of “Model of the Year,” whilst Stella McCartney wins “Special Recognition Award For Innovation” and Pat McGrath wins “Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator.”
The attendees of the ceremony included Selena Gomez, Pink, Jourdan Dunn, Donatella Versace, Lewis Hamilton and Hijabi supermodel Halima Aden, as the A-listers fought for the competition of best dressed.
Naomi Campbell presented a tribute to Azzedine Alaïa, the late Tunisian designer, alongside other iconic women that had a connection with the Paris-based couturier. Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiurin was honoured with the “Swarovski Award For Positive Change,” as she also remembered the late Franca Sozzani.
As well as remembering the names of those who have changed the fashion industry, the British Fashion Council also wanted to highlight the future of fashion. With “British Emerging Talent” winners including Michael Halpern for Halpern in womenswear and Charles Jeffrey for Charles Jeffrey Loverboy in menswear.
It was an evening full of style, glamour and high emotions, as we’ve highlighted just some of the best dressed at the British Fashion Awards 2017, who definitely won our attention on the red carpet!
