Over the weekend the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex were spotted stylishly celebrating the Queen’s official birthday at the Trooping the Colour. Both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle looked gorgeous in pastel hues, with elegant dresses and fascinators to match.
Kate Middleton opted for a dress from one of her favorite design houses, Alexander McQueen, as the Duchess of Cambridge looked Cinderella-esque in soft blue tones. Despite still being on maternity leave after the birth of Prince Louis, the Duchess of Cambridge never misses out on the Queen’s birthday Parade. Kate Middleton looked as graceful as ever in her light blue outfit, which also coordinated with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Meghan Markle also went for a pastel shade with an off-the-shoulder peach Carolina Herrera dress and a Philip Treacy fascinator with her hair in loose waves. After returning from her honeymoon, the Duchess of Sussex was back in a carriage just weeks after her big day –but did Meghan Markle break royal protocol?
It is believed that Meghan Markle’s off-the-shoulder dress was against the royal dress code which states that shoulders must be covered! Nevertheless, both Meghan and Kate looked stunning as they stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and waved to the crowds, as we can’t wait to see what royal style inspiration the Duchesses will bring us next time!
