Meghan Markle evidently read our 11 fashion trends to follow in 2018 and was inspired by this year’s must-have fashion accessory –the beret! Paired with a cream coat by Amanda Wakeley, navy Manolo Blahnik pumps and a navy Mulberry clutch bag, Markle looked super chic in the cream-coloured beret by Stephen Jones whilst attending the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey in London.
The stylish French-inspired headpiece stood out amidst traditional hats, as Kate Middleton opted for a classic wide-brimmed hat in navy. As although the Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan Markle’s personal style may differ, their wardrobe staples remain very similar as the pair twinned in co-ordinating navy court shoes!
It's hard to believe that the identical shoes were not by the same designer, yet it appears that Markle has been taking princess lessons from the Duchess who is an expert at royal fashion and protocol!
Meghan Markle’s style and her fresh approach to fashion have been creating a storm of headlines, as she’s broken royal protocol with messy buns, jumpers on formal occasions and cross-body bags, of which she’s been applauded for.
However on this particular occasion Markle played it safe (Queen Elizabeth was in attendance) with simple elegance and classic style, which did remind of us of Kate Middleton. We wonder if they shop together?! Their matching navy blue suede shoes suggest they do!!
