Meghan Markle had a Breakfast at Tiffany’s moment as wore a sleek Givenchy gown which resembled the iconic Givenchy little black dress design worn by Audrey Hepburn.
The Duchess of Sussex sported the chic dress for her first solo appearance, without members of the royal family, where she celebrated the opening of Oceania, a new exhibit in the Royal Academy of Arts.
The Duchess’ classic black dress featured sheer, billowy sleeves, a velvet panel from the neckline and high slit. The Givenchy design cost £2,510 which roughly converts to AED 12,150, as Meghan accessorised the dress with a black box clutch bag (also by Givenchy) and black sling back Aquazzura pumps. Her sparkling Birks diamond jewellery finished the stylish ensemble.

Givenchy, helmed by British fashion designer Clare Waight Keller, has become a go-to choice for the Duchess. Meghan opted for the French fashion house to design her wedding dress and has continued to showcase the label ever since.
From Royal Ascot to her first solo engagement with the Queen, and her trip to Dublin, the Duchess of Sussex has relied on Givenchy to fill her royal wardrobe with signature looks of elegance –proved once again by her visit to the Royal Academy of Art.

For her first solo event as the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan made a move that is ordinarily unheard of for a Duchess –she closed her own car door! As despite the designer labels, the grand occasions and her royal status, Meghan appeared still down-to-earth. What will the Duchess wear next?!
