Yesterday the British Royal Family celebrated their newest member, as Prince Louis was christened in London. For the special occasion, Auntie Meghan Markle wore an olive green Ralph Lauren dress, with a coordinating fascinator by Stephen Jones –as the Duchess of Sussex looked a vision in khaki!
Meghan’s dress, by American design house Ralph Lauren, was a boatneck style –which has become a signature look for the Duchess in recent months. Meghan completed her elegant monochrome look with matching suede Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for Alexander McQueen, marking the third time that she has worn McQueen to her children's christenings –with all three looks equally elegant. However, this time Kate Middleton did add a unique fashion piece to her christening look, with an exaggerated headband by Jane Taylor. The ivory accessory was embellished with flowers, beads and netting, as we loved the headpiece which was reminiscent of the regal 14th century.
Kate Middleton definitely stole the show with little Prince Louis in her arms, but (despite being dressed in a camouflage tone) it’s hard not to spot Meghan Markle’s stylish outfit in the background. The Duchess of Sussex’s royal style has been in the spotlight since her royal wedding in May, as Meghan has maintained a neutral colour palette of blush pinks, muted beige, off white and now olive green, for her royal duties.
Although, Meghan Markle did stray from neutral tones when she wore a vibrant yellow Brandon Maxwell dress to the “Your Commonwealth” Youth Challenge Reception, with Prince Harry. The sunshine colour was similar to Amal Clooney’s outfit for the royal wedding and definitely inspired our summer wardrobe!
