After five successful years, the annual Runway Dubai fashion show is back for season six with even more fashion than ever before! This year the event will take place from 8th to 10th November at the luxurious Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf in Dubai.
Launched in 2013, Runway was created as a responsible initiative to enhance the fashion industry in the region, and has quickly developed into the leading fashion show platform in the Middle East. It has continued to gain international recognition due to its social awareness campaigns and inclusion of diversity.
Autism wins on the Runway Dubai platform
Season six is no exception to the rule, as Runway Dubai will host the ‘Autism Wins’ campaign with Natalie Oden, a model and actress with autism. Natalie Oden has inspired many with her story, as she’ll be opening the Runway Dubai show this November.
Sheikh Zayed Fashion Awards
This year the UAE fashion industry will celebrate the founding father of its inspiring nation. The Sheikh Zayed Fashion Awards is an initiative that recognises emerging talent in the country.
Just as Sheikh Zayed faced challenges, before turning his dreams into reality, designers will be given a task to create a masterpiece out of scrap fabric that they have all been provided with.
Fashion Talent Competition
The popular fashion talent competition is also back with a futuristic sci-fi theme full of creative challenges and possibilities.
Catwalk Presentations
Finally, the established designers are back with a big bang, bringing inspiration from around the world. This includes Adrianna Talansi, an award-winning designer from Congo, Araoluwa Popoola, the only men’s wear designer this season and Salihat Rahaman, the only designer who brings Arabian Abaya style to Nigeria.
