This year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute AKA the MET Gala AKA the biggest night in fashion paid tribute to Rei Kawakubo, the Japanese designer with a penchant for all things edgy and asymmetrical.
We, however, think the invitation must have indicated the celebs to let their inner freak out. Only that can explain some of the ridiculous outfits sported by some of the stars last night.
Here are the 10 worst dressed celebrities spotted at the MET Gala 2017 red carpet.
1. Katy Perry
Katy Perry looks like the bride of Frankenstein in this custom John Galliano creation for Maison Margiela's "Artisanal" collection. Don't worry, memes about her outfit have already started to break the internet.

We'll give it to Rihanna for paying tribute to the designer by wearing Comme des Garçons, but we won't give it to her for looking like a garden.

Nicki Minaj is wearing custom H&M and if you look closely you'll see that Comme des Garçons’s designer Rei Kawakubo's face is on her belt.
Talk about an obvious tribute.
