The UAE is home to the world’s tallest landmarks, the world’s most expensive things and now the world’s largest gold ring, as another Guinness Book of World Records is added to the UAE’s countless list.
Just when you thought the Emirates couldn’t be any more extravagant, a 21-caret gold ring studded with 5kg of diamonds and other precious stones, as well as 615 Swarovski crystals which weighs approximately 64kg, is showcased. This, of course makes the ring, which is named the Najmat Taiba (Star of Taiba), a very expensive fashion accessory valued at $3 million dollars (AED 11 million).

UAE residents and visitors can see the huge gold ring at the Sahara Centre in Sharjah until June. Although it’s not the prettiest piece of jewellery we’ve ever seen, it is very impressive (or ridiculous), as the ring which is owned by by Dubai-based Taiba has previously been shown at the Gold Souq in Dubai and at the Sharjah Jewellery Show.
Though we like statement rings as the ultimate fashion piece to accessorize with, somehow we don’t think this gold ring will be trending anytime soon!
