Easy Ways To Clean Pet Messes

We all love our pets, but owning a four-legged friend shouldn't mean your home always stinks. The following are quick ways to clean up those pet messes that we all have to deal with from time to time.

Muddy paw marks

What you shouldn’t do is scrub these spots as soon as you see them. Let the mud dry, and it will be easier to vacuum away. Then blot whatever remains with dish washing liquid mixed with warm water

Pee stains

Spot an accident? Act fast before it gets worse. Add a mix of 1/8 tablespoon dish washing liquid with 1 cup water and blot the mess with a clean cloth. Then, wash out the soap by dabbing it with 1 teaspoon white vinegar mixed with a cup of water. For tile stains, rub the spot with a paste made of baking soda and a little water.

Poop stains

Puppies are cute but they tend to do their business with no regard to your freshly scrubbed floor. To clean up this mess, mix 1 tablespoon dish cleaning liquid, 1 tablespoon white vinegar and 2 cups of warm water. Blot the stain with the mixture until it disappears.

Vomit stains

If curiosity got your cat and he ate something he shouldn’t have, chances are he will soon be sick on your floor or carpet. Act fast, clean up with a kitchen towel. Then, treat the area with an enzyme formula and cover with a clean, damp towel. Let it remain there for at least 3 to 5 hours.

Smells on your furniture

Whether you have a snooty cat or a cuddly dog at home, chances are your furniture can start to smell like a pet store. Simply sprinkle baking soda on your sofa and cushions, let it sit for 15 minutes and vacuum it up.

Search and destroy

If your nose is telling you that there's a stinky stain, but your eyes just can’t see it, try shining a black light on your floor and carpet to seek it out. Proceed to destroy the offending stain with our cleaning tips.
