Cleaning your house need not be the bane of your existence. We have a few smart tricks that you can follow to make cleaning your house effortless and easy.
1. Clean a little bit every day.
Don’t get overwhelmed or stress over cleaning. It’s better to clean a little than nothing at all on a daily basis. Just spend 15 minutes every day tidying up, cleaning countertops, and doing other quick cleaning tasks, which improves your mental well-being and makes deep cleans much easier to tackle later on.
2. Think of everything as a grid.
By visualising your home broken up into a grid, you don't miss anything.
3. Always clean from top to bottom.
If you're doing a major clean-up, do your ceilings first then work all the way to the floors. That way you're not shaking down dust and dirt onto anything you've already cleaned.

4. Tie up those cords.
Electrical cords and cables are real dust magnets. You can neatly zip-tie them together, or even tack them up off the floor to keep dust from collecting.
5. Get hooked on hooks.
Hooks are a great way to get organised. Instead of just putting things away in bins, hang them on hooks at the spot they will be of the greatest use.
6. Always use a squeegee after a shower.
Use a squeegee to keep your bathroom as dry as possible to fight mildew and soap scum build-up. Don’t forget to also dry shower curtains, or the lip of the shower door frame.
7. Use "house-only" shoes.
Taking off shoes at the door really helps keep dirt out of your house. House-only shoes must be washable so they can be cleaned regularly.

8. Use cooking as downtime to start cleaning up.
While your food is cooking, you can use the time to starts wiping down counters, rinsing knives and tools, and putting ingredients away.
9. Tackle stains right away.
The longer dirt or grime sits, the harder it is to get it off. Wipe up spills and use prewash stain remover as soon as you see a spot — you can spray it on days before you do another load of laundry.
10. Keep clutter tidy
Don't devalue the smallest tasks, like folding a blanket or arranging a pile of books. They make your space feel clean even if you don't have time to really de-clutter.
