If you’re still mastering the art of the perfect duck face then here’s the memo you missed: Move on, it’s ancient.
If you’re done with the pouts and have moved on to mirror selfies, over-the-shoulder smoulders and fish gape then here’s the bad news — they’re over too.
The latest Instagram poses are all about appearing candid, casual and off-the-cuff. But taking a choreographed photo kind of defeats the whole purpose of a candid shot — something that some celebrities and bloggers need to get around. Here is a look at some of the most common candid poses that actually take hours of prep.
1. The spontaneous laugh
Her laugh could be spontaneous. Her body makeup is certainly NOT.
2. The downward gaze
It's Kylie. Nothing about her is casual or unmade. There was probably an army of stylists behind her carefully planned running-my-errands-kinda look.
3. My business walk
If you want to see a casual walk just take a trip to the nearest metro station. You'll see smartly dressed women running in heels. This I-own-the-world swag is better suited to ramps we say.
4. Insta-sit
We all know the famous Insta-sit. This pose requires you to wear a bikini with a perfect tan to show off your killer abs. Also, don't forget a breathtaking backdrop, a sexy hair knot and a refreshing drink to set the mood. Did somebody say candid?
5. The wistful gaze
This one is tough to spot but the curled lashes and the flawless skin give it away.
6. Just tying up my ponytail
This one is a classic pose so unless you have someone to snap you every time you struggle to tie your hair — this one HAS to be planned.
7. Strolling in the park
Well, If we had a back like that, we'd also carry a photographer around every time we took a stroll in the park.
