I've heard good things about Uptown Mirdif re learning support. Might be worth researching.

I've recently used Micro at MOE for the Ipads. They are located on the first floor, Ski Dubai end, opposite the banks and near to Hallmark.

Head towards Abu Dhabi and come off at Umm Al Sheif exit. Take the 2nd exit off roundabout. Carry on along that road and you will reach the Etihad Mall.

Hi, my daughter was born October 2009 and started school this September, so your daughter should start Foundation 1 in October 2015. Have you registered her for any of the schools in Dubai? There are waiting lists for a lot of the schools, so it is advisable to find out what the situation is re any of the schools you would like to send her to. A lot of nurseries offer Foundation 1 too.

Decathlon at Mirdif City Centre. Not sure about the removable studs, but they definitely sell rugby boots.

My daughter goes to Palms Nursery and she is so happy there. I love the feel of the place. I did do plenty of shopping around (having had 3 children in nurseries in Dubai). The staff are so caring and lovely and the children enjoy the activities and the crafts that they do each day. I suppose it depends what you are looking for. I wanted somewhere small and personal for my child and looked at a few places that were too big and structured for a 2/3 year old (in my opinion). When looking, visit lots of places and go with your gut feeling.

I noticed a place on Al Wasl Road the other day. If you google Ayrvedic, Al Wasl Road, you will come up with a few options.

Another in the Masafi camp. If I forget to leave the bottles out, they ring the bell and remind me! If for any reason they haven't delivered on time, I just call and they are round by the next morning. Very good service.

I would call them and tell them what happened. They will probably tell you to tip up at the police station and they will give you the pink slip there.

Wild Wadi with Entertainer Vouchers. We spent entire days there during Ramadan and it was great fun (mine were 7, 5 and 2).

Hi Lulee, I have had children at New Nursery and sadly had to find elsewhere when it closed. I can definitely recommend Palms Nursery on Meedaf Street, Jumeirah. Website here http://www.palmsnurserydubai.com/ I am very happy with the place, or more to the point my child is very happy with the place, also the fees are very reasonable. Good luck!

Have you tried the Music Chamber in Times Square Mall? My son got a violin from there, I think it was a 1/8 one though, but maybe you could enquire. They do have a website if you google and you could get a contact number from there.

mrswhippy have you had your blood tested? A family member has lupus and your symptoms don't sound anywhere near what they have suffered with. I think your doctor is being somewhat premature.

There is a great stationery store in either Jumeirah Plaza or Jumeirah Centre (the one that has Mothercare in it). They sell lots of different colours.

We used the coach from Chelsea Towers last year and it was great. Myself, husband and three children. Got to the airport in plenty of time, got through there really quickly as it is only tiny compared to Dubai. Happily going from there again in summer as the money we save flying with Etihad pays for the car hire at the other end! If you are worried about what happens if the coach is late, why not just ring them and speak to someone? I am sure they can put your mind at rest.

My husband bought the stuff that you paint onto their nails, which tastes horrible. It worked a treat on our 5 year old, and he had been a thumb sucker since he was a baby. Within a few days he had totally stopped the habit. Ask at the pharmacy.

Have only been once and will definitely go again. I couldn't fault the food or the service. In fact, my husband was on a nightmare exclusion diet at the time and they bent over backwards to accommodate him by giving us alternatives on the menu. Fantastic.

If he was driving so badly then why on earth would you want to get back into his taxi. I wouldn't be offended by a taxi driver asking for payment rather than expecting him to trust a total stranger to come back. Also, whilst it may be only 8dhs to you, that is part of the amount he needs to make up each day, so isn't a tiny amount to him. Think you need to wind your neck in to be honest, you sound like the one in the wrong!

Morning all! does anyone know which parks will allow my DH with my son during the week? My local parks Safa 2 and um sequim beach park are ladies only! If you are local to these, then the nearest for you would be Safa Park (the big one), which as far as I know allows men in all the time, as they have a Ladies park within the park.

Medzo is lovely, my husband was on an exclusion diet when we went there, and they bent over backwards to accommodate him, service was absolutely fantastic. Jump in a taxi, go to Vintage first for a nice glass of wine, then for your meal at Medzo and finish off with cocktails at Carters.... go on, its only 15 minutes in a taxi from US. ;)

i used to quiet like the Kardashian's but after her trip to Dubai have gone right off them - i really got the impression that she would do anything for money and would only do things if money was involved.... It also turned my stomach a bit at the frenzy she produced in a Muslim country - when we all know what she is famous or rather infamous for..... Divorce for anyone is sad thou. Totally agree, made me laugh that no security guards were telling her to cover her shoulders up at the Mall! I read in Ahlan that she was "too tired" to make a milkshake with the winner of their competition, but instead posed for a photo with them! I think she needs a reality check, there is absolutely nothing real about her reality show or any of the ofshoots.
