Thank you Ladies, I hope you all are feeling a little better. Im 8 weeks now, and have to say after the horrible 1st 10 days it now got a lot better, i'm still a little sick in the morning but not so much during the day, have to say being tired is the main issue at the moment, i start work at 7am and by 10am i already feel like i have been working 9 hrs and ready to go home. By 5:30pm (when i finish work) all i can think of is BED!!! Never felt so tired.... :(

Just bumping this up, It's this Friday, please come by if you are considering adopting or fostering, the more people we get to give us a hand, the more dogs will have a chance this summer, as you all may know already, summer is the worst time for us, and for those furry friends who maybe wont make it for no fault of their own :( I still cant forget last summer / eid holidays, its a horrible situation, unbeleivable how many people give up their pets for ever because of 2-3 months vacation periods.

Thank you all, So Many "What if" thoughts come in my mind today, what if i left the door open to give them a choice, what if the water bowl was in a different place, what if i had them indoors more often during winter too so they wouldnt feel locked up, panicking..... Sooo many things!!! I dont know what to think anymore

Hi Ladies, Yes of course we wouldnt send her away if we were not 100% of the new home over seas. And its true and very sad knowing the situation italy, but at the end it is like that EVERYWHERE. Regarding the funds, YES we could help so many more, we only operate on donations from public, which are VERY limited, but so many came forward helping to send Silvia to italy, we cant force people to donate for other and not donate for her, and of course cant use founds donated for her to trip for anything else. :(

I usually take my dog to Pet's Delight in Mirdif. However, last time we went, the groomer we usually have wasn't there and the experience with the other guy was pretty dire and I'm not putting doggie through that again. I don't know the names so wouldn't know how to check in advance who I'd be getting. Can anyone recommend a good groomer in or within 20 mins or so of Mirdif? Paws Pet Planet have a ful groom offer, nail clip, teeth cleaning, ear cling included for 100 aed with 50 aed they will also pick up and drop off

Hi Kristina, I love to have a dog so much but I am afraid or let say more of sceptic if I can handle the pressure and responsibility… Where can I see the dogs? Thanks You can see pictures of all dog in this album, we get new dogs in need of foster homes often, but we try to get them with some experienced volunteers that can deal with issues if any, and if all is good we move them to new foster homes. https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Animal-Action-Abu-Dhabi/106075079440617?sk=photos

Thank you Ladies, This is some info about fostering. Fostering entails treating the dog as your own until it is adopted. (Buy food, provide the 'bed', provide toys and treats, and possibly driving the dog to the vet if we have made any appointments). If a dog does need to go to the vet if it suddenly takes sick, or if it needs to go in for neutering, then we will arrange it and pay for it. We do not get any funding but wait until we can afford it ourselves, so we can't have dogs going in for neutering or anything without our consent, unless of course the foster family are happy to pay for it themselves (and then can ask for the money back from the new family once the dog has been adopted). We also ask that a dog is never handed over to someone wanting to adopt it without our confirmation as we interview everyone first to make sure the dog goes to a good and loving home for life. We are really adamant about this. We also have a contract for new families to sign, especially if adopting a puppy which is too young to be neutered until a certain age. We are very pleased when the foster families help us by advertising the dog they have so as to find a forever home for the dog sooner so it doesn't get too attached to the foster family. If someone is found, they can be referred to us and we will start the interview process. If interested please email me at Kristina_rmnv at yahoo dot com THANK YOU!!!

If it gets to the point where these dogs need new owners, we will in all likelihood take them - we're looking at the mo, live by the beach and are far more responsible with our pets than this turd of an owner. I don't know how you would contact me as I just read:never post and I am not sure how contact details work but [email protected] is where you'll find me if a situation with the dogs transpires and they need homes (I do photos for k9 friends calender and love doggies, especially beagles!) edit: and I don't think reporting them is harsh although it is a difficult predicament - don't envy your decision but whatever is best for the beagles even if it is the difficult thing to do has to be the right thing. Beagle power. edited by Kelly9 on 18/07/2011 Kelly9 i hope for you that im wrong but i just saw on another thread that YOU BREED DOGS FOR FIGHTING? ARE YOU SERIOUS????

I wanted her to have kittens as she doesnt accept any other cat. I have tried getting a cat for her company twice but had to return them back. Having kittens will not change anything, she will be even worst with your other cat. I hope all the kittens she will have will not end up on the street....

Hi there, not sure what to do. We are going away for 2 weeks and I am torn between boarding kennels or Homely Petz. I know the dogs would be less stressed in their own environment, but two visits a day seems cruel, as they will be left on their own for long periods of time in between. Has anyone here actaully left their dog at home like this for a 2 week period, or did you decide to use kennels for that length of time? Which do you think is the better choice for a dog, to be in kennels with people around all day, or in the security of their own home, but largely on their own? Your thoughts, experience would be so helpful, thanks. Hello, could you please email me on [email protected] i can give you some info if you like

Thanks guys. Food for thought. Perhaps it's not the right thing for us. Just miss having a dog around, but that's being selfish.....:( You can foster! :) In this way you always have a dog around, you care for it, train it, socialize it, but its not the full responsibility of having a dog and having to take it back when you move, when the one you are fostering gets adopted you can take in the next one and so going on! :) We have lots and lots of past pets, that just need a family to be part off, even for a short period before they find their forever home.

we just adopted on of Luna's pups from Animal Action - check out their FB page. There are a few more from her litter as well as lots of others up for adoption....we also met Dexter on there, he is gorgeous as well but our very young children were a bit intimidated so we opted for small pup instead...but if it was just DH and I, we would have love to have adopted Dexter....like a lovely fluffy GSD mix... so anyone thinking of adopting, please consider AA, their rely on foster homes as they don't have a shleter like K9... Thank you JulesLC....:)

Hi, thanks for your advice ladies. We have now put the cats bowls and litter tray upstairs, and he has eaten and is much happier now. Won't come downstairs yet, but at least he feels like he has his own private space i guess. seems as though time is the only thing that will help, and gradually letting them get used to each other....here's hoping they become like yours Bracey777! Yay!! Glad he ate!! <3

I still work with JAV Cats in Dubai but there is only so much I can do now that I am in AD (fundraising etc) that I can do but if there are things I can help with in AD I would love to... Thank you Bella UK. We are in Dubai, well all the foster homes are in dubai and most of the volunteers. But we help dogs and cats in Abu Dhabi too.

And if it helps, not sure it will, but i stayed on their co. visa for 2 months after leaving they told me it wasnt an issue, but as soon as the cancel his yours is cancelled at the same time, however 1 month after the day of cancellation is no prob, once the new co. starts the process they will issue you a paper saying that your resident visa is in process, this is used as a document where visa is required.

Does anyone have any input regarding the 3 BHK apartments in Ghoroob? I saw that the current rates are advertised as 85K ...Is it worth and is this negotiable or not? What about the common facilites like gym , pool , kids play area etc? Is it up and running? This is for my friends family with 3 kids under 10. They are keen on a 3 BHK under 90K and i guess this should fit the bill.TIA the area is still very much under construction, there will not be a pool or gym, no kids play are at the moment. I know rates are not negotiable, we have moved out 2 months ago, not much for the place it self but because of horrible neighbors. :(

when we moved in our new villa, in Al Quoz (old arabic style villa) it was **** for the 1st 2 weeks, something / someone was really upset with hubby, we would here children scream, woman cry, and heavy steps on the roof. Pets were going crazy, it drove us to a point where we wanted to move out only 10 days after being there, this was after the worst night we had 9Paranormal Activity type of night) We were trying to sleep, i was asleep and hubby couldnt, he saw a flashing reflection on our mirror coming from no where and he heard a laughing woman in the living room, so he got up and went to see, as soon as he was in the living room, our wedding picture from the top of the bed fell on me, hooks that were holding it were still up. We used holy water lots of praying and taking control (saying what you said already) Things were still bothering us for 2 more days after that, we didnt stop doing the routine until ALL was gone!!! ITS SCARY, AND ITS NOT A JOKE!!!

Does anyone know where it is and a contact number? Do they have a website? Any chance anyone has adopted from there and can tell me about the process? TIA :) I don't know for sure, but I think you'd still have to go through one of the shelters that takes on DM dogs. DM will rarely let anyone in to see the dogs. :( Agree, not so easy, make sure you go before 1 pm, lots of dogs will not be available as still awaiting for owners, we go there weekly to take pictures and find foster homes for those dogs that are allowed to be taken out. no dogs are available for the next 2 days, as i spoke to them last night and all dogs they had are still waiting for owner to come back, i can help you and update you on dogs there, visit our adoption album most of our dogs are from there https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.106097469438378.3308.106075079440617&type=3

After having partied in Dubai for 2 years in a lot of this places and with a lot of "Different" people, NORMAL for a night out is 12-25 K a night, but this.....its just NOT NORMAL, if it was normal it wouldn't be such a big deal right now, it doesn't happen every night, 387,988 AED for 3 hrs of music and drinking and a HUGE hangover the next day o_O
