No idea whats been going on but we came home around 10ish on Friday and there was a police car with 4 other cars parked behind it with people talking to the police. The security guard asked us for our address but whilst we were waiting to go through the gate, I notice about 4-5 people sat in the security office and large amounts of money were exchanging hands which I thought was really strange.

Hi We are thinking of making of making the move to Falcon City and wondered if there were any communal pools? I have searched on previous threads but cannot find any info. Also, does it have a community feel to it. We would be moving from AR and enjoy being in a community. Any info would be much appreciated. TIA

Apparantly not........the KHDA have to be contacted as she is registed in Grade 1 and will be then registered as a Grade 3 student so it will look as though she has missed a year even though they are just named differently. edited by EmSa on 28/02/2012 edited by EmSa on 28/02/2012

Hope you ladies can please help me. My DD has been accepted for Year 3 into the British Curriculum for September after passing the assessment. The school have just contacted me to say that because she is moving from an IB school which she is currently graded as Grade 1 they will have to contact the KHDA to see of this is acceptable and if not she will have to go back a year. I am really confused as I thought that Grade 1 in IB is the equivalent to Grade 2 BC.......Can anyone please shed some light on this for me. Many Thanks

Hi....hope someone can give me a bit of help....my husband is about to accept a new job but there is no health insurance coverage for me and my 2 children and I wondered what the costs of getting the cover for us would be? We currently have gold cover with allico and would definitely be looking for the same type of cover. If anyone has any idea how much this would be I would really appreciate it so that we can factor it into our figures. Many thanks

Yes it is British Curriculum and the cut off is the same date. My son will be 4 at the beginning of September but I have chosen to put him into KG1 in line with most other schools. Have you been to visit the school yet?

Hi Sarahanne My son has been at this school since January 2010 in the nursery and then pre-school and is going up to KG1 in September. I have been pleased with the school as a whole but there have been times where I have been a little frustrated mostly with the lack of communication. The staff are very friendly and the school is always well presented and clean. I was considering changing my son to Greenfield Community when he started KG1 but he has been very happy at the school and like you say it is also much cheaper than Greenfield. IF there is anything else that you would like to know then please do not hesitate to ask.
