Hi Ladies,

We're planning a trip to Sydney again after a few years & it seems that Doyles at the overseas passenger terminal has closed down, is that right? Any idea what has replaced it? And hotels. Is it really worth paying the price for the Park Hyatt, the Four Seasons is half the price & the location is almost as good. We don't plan to eat in the hotel, so that's not an issue.

Looking forward to your thoughts..

Check out the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour - I stayed there before Pullman bought it and it was fantastic, great building/rooms and location Ooh, thank you mrs13b, I hadn't thought of there, their prices are really quite reasonable

Yes, Doyles at circular quay closed last year but the Watsons Bay branch still open (the original if I remember correctly). Thank you Cherry Ripe

Hi Mrs P, Not sure about Doyles, I will check with my sister just in case no-one here replies. Re the hotels, the four seasons is probably better situated in terms of getting around ie, closer to city centre, closer to trains, opera house etc, even though its only 10 minutes walk more onto Park Hyatt my opinion is the only thing Hyatt has is the view. Will update re Doyles asap.
