Living in Tonga - South Pacific - any experiences?

Hello, I just found your group here.
I am considering living in Tonga in the South Pacific for some months because of my studies. Since I will be there alone as a woman, I just want to ask you, if this is safe to do so for a woman. Are there any dont´s? Or anything I should consider?
Your comments would be pretty helpful. Maybe there are other single women who used to travel to or lived in Tonga.
