Try the Radisson Blu Farnham Estate in Co. Cavan - it's not far off your route and though I can't personally recommend, I have friends who have stayed and said it's lovely! Enjoy your trip to the Emerald Isle :-)

I am visiting Ireland soon for a friend's wedding at The Crom Castle. We are going a day ahead and would like a nice town to visit that is in between the Dublin airport and Crom Castle and stay the night on our way up to the castle. We will have a car, so driving is not a problem. Can anyone suggest a nice town to go to?
