Importation or exportation of any prohibited or controlled items into or out of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) is governed by laws.
The commonly found prohibited or controlled items are:

Poultry
Passengers are liable to prosecution if these items are brought into or out of HKSAR without a valid licence or permit. These items will also be seized and confiscated.
The penalty for passengers carrying prohibited or controlled items depends on the respective legislation governing its importation and exportation.
