The Hong Kong government respects many cultures & religions so tries to encompass them into the public holidays each year.

The public holidays are gazetted for the public anually and can be found on the Hong Kong government website. The 2015 general holidays have been gazetted, however the holidays for 2016 have been estimated, and will remain an estimate until the government gazette of the dates is published.

** As Ching Ming Festival in 2015 falls on a Sunday, the following day will be designated as a general holiday in substitution. However, as the day following Ching Ming Festival and Easter Monday fall on the same day, the next following day that is not itself a general holiday will be observed as an additional general holiday
