Seychelles experienced a tug-of-war of between France and Britain disputing for colonial control in the early 19th century. They gained independence from the Brits back in 1976. The smallest African country by population, Seychelles makes up for that by bringing in expatriates from the four corners of the earth to bask and be enthralled in the picturesque beauty of their landscape. With a total of 115 islands, Seychelles has a number of uninhabited ones that truly captivates the tourists’ imagination for luxurious island hideaway.
