Thank you Silvstet, I haven't actually looked inside any villas in either areas, it was only walking round the streets near the school the villas seemed to be very close together and had little greenery, landscaping or trees. Maybe I didn't see the best bits? We are moving from a very green village in England and I think I'm looking for some sort of desert oasis! It would be great to walk or cycle to school.

Am moving from the UK and looking to get my kids into this school for September and was wondering the best place to live in relation to the school? Wasn't that keen on what I saw of Jumeirah Park - what about Meadows/Springs? How long do you think it would take roughly to get to school from those areas? Also are there Mums groups in these communities? Am envisioning myself whiling away the days polishing marble floors while I wait for the kids to come out of school and am terrified of being bored/lonely!
