We are returning from Toronto, we are leaving in 1 1/2 weeks ! I was also thinking of getting tuition if needed I suppose I'll play it by ear. Have you sorted removals yet I am in the process of booking them today !

We were in a british school in Dubai for 5 years and last year we left for Canada, we are returning to Dubai and the British Curriculum this year. Should I be worried that my kids will be behind or have missed too much work ? I am hoping they will just fit back in with a bit of hard work ! Anyone any experience of swapping curriculums ?

Sorry I know hairdressers are done to death but my son has very long trendyish style and after nightmares at barbers I want to take him to a ladies salon. I've never been to any so not sure which to go ? We are on Mirdif so this end of town would be best. Thanks !

To be honest the more I read I think it sounds more like anxiety than OCD. I will check out the Dr Veneta she may be able to help, I am still hoping its a phase.

Thanks for your replies I do hope it is anxiety he does worry a lot about fitting in and what his peers think about him etc so that does fit in. I will see how it goes but speak to my GP in the mean time.

H is 9 years old, he has a thing where after the toilet he takes ages to wipe and needs to be with toilet paper and wipes . Yesterday someone brushed past his arm and wanted to wash it. He also needs constant reassurance about everything. Although he doesn't wash his hands for no reason when he does he washes them thoroughly at the minute they are cracked and dry ? not sure if they are passing phases and I am making a deal out of something but don't want it to go any further.

I bought one from Hamleys in Mirdif City centre it's a Razor one so I am not sure if it's suitable for bikes and scooters. It's like a wave kind of shape ! I think it was about 300 dirhams they had one left when I got it a few weeks ago. They are at the back of the store with the scooters etc. You could also try Rage in Dubai Mall not sure what they have but you could call them first.

We are moving on the 7th August we rent direct from DSO so if you call them they will tell you the rent, company pay so not sure. I have left details with DSO so they know we are leaving and the situation with the garden. I will text the location and you can peep over the wall at the garden if I am not in !!!!

Avoid street 15 side of Mirdif, the best area is the side behind uptown street 71 I think. Anywhere near Lifco and west zone is under the flight path so avoid it !

We are moving out of a 4 bed semi villa, the garden is finished with patio etc. if someone wants to move in then we can leave the garden as it is otherwise we have to rip it up and return to sand. Seems a shame to waste all that money when someone else can have the garden ?

I emptied the room...threw quilt etc in the bin. They can spray the bed and all furniture they did this 3 times but after the second I got bit again so I threw all the bed mattress etc away so the room was empty. I thought the bed stunk after they sprayed it and I wouldn't have been able to sleep in it anyway. We moved out of the room while it was going on. They need to spray 3 times once a week if I remember right. Never seen a peep since and I am paranoid, I bought a metal bed etc so they can't climb up and never put any suitcases in the room !

I also had none on the bed they were in the box bit of the base, only ever found 7 but that was bad enough. There was also one behind a pictu on the wall. I ended up throwing bed etc away and buying new bedroom furniture quilt everything . I am super paranoid now and check every day! I had national pest come to spray.
