how about the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo at Dubai Mall? You can even take them on a boat ride inside? As for lunch, my kids usually love going to the Rainforest Cafe which is right next door to the aquarium.

I believe they are currently in the Times Square on SZR. I took my son (5yo) when it was in JBR and i remember that he liked it but i also remember seeing some young kids (3-4 years) crying and they were quite scared.
During my last pregnancy i had some thyroid complications and my gyneco recommended Dr Zubaidi. I do agree with Mrs Mopp, he is very very thorough and caring and undoubtedly recommend him. If i am not mistaken, it is easy to get a same day appointment.
2 weeks ago we tried the Al Raha Beach Hotel (Sevilla Restaurant), not bad as an experience although i am not sure if they figure in the Entertainers' booklet for Abu Dhabi. In terms of entertainment for kids, they had a clown and a magician. They also had a section of the buffet specially for kids.
