BFC - would you mind sending me the handout please? My baby turned 6 months a couple of weeks ago and is SO not interested in solids. I've tried purees (fruit, veg, yoghurt etc) so am thinking of going down the BLW route. My email is angiemama28atgmaildotcom. Thanks heaps x

DD's head was pretty flat at the back too and it does correct itself more or less as they grow and start sitting up and/or moving. I guess if I were to shave DD's head, then it'd be noticeable, but the blessing with girls in particular is that their hair will cover up all kinds of things! That's what I was thinking - when her hair grows maybe you won't be able to see it as much. I really hope it does correct itself - I don't want to leave it too late for anything to be done. Thanks ladies for your replies x

KellsBells replied : Angie, where about in Dubai are you? I have a great sling you are welcome to, and I was also going to offer some help. I'm by no means an expert...but I have been in your shoes and I can totally relate to your posts. Eldest DS has just started school and DH is on leave, so i was thinking I could pop over and help you for a few hours in the morning if you like? Let me know if you are interested and I'll post my email address. Bless you KellsBells - that's really, really sweet of you. It would be great to chat to someone that's been through the same thing and come out the other side. She will now only be settled to sleep with the boob! I know it's my fault for giving in but I am just so tired and don't have the strength or confidence at the moment to know how to deal with it.

Thanks so much ladies for your replies. I have a Doula coming to help next week while hubby is back at work. Feeding is going much better now and the breast compression has helped. She gained 400g in her 1st week so she must be getting enough! I have been trying to work on the settling to sleep but to no avail - she simply wont settle in her basket (even when full and sleepy) and if I try to put her in there she just gets upset and results in getting over tired and then the only way to get her to sleep is to nurse her to sleep with boob in mouth. I think i'm being a bit hard on myself - I just really don't want to teach her that this is how she falls asleep. Just don't know how to change her pattern - hopefully she'll grow out of it. I will def come along to the baby wearing workshop - think a sling is a great idea. Thanks again x

There's a mobile beauty salon called Brush & Co - I haven't had a massage with them but have used them for mani, pedi, waxing, threading etc and they have always been very good. The lady that comes to me is called Layola and she is lovely. Thier prices are very reasonable too. x

That's great to know your friend is really happy with it. Which one do you think you'll go for? I'm getting the Breeze as thought it would be good for the Dubai heat.

I searched everywhere for one of these in Dubai but couldn't find one, so my brother is buying for me from the UK and bringing it over with him when he visits next month. I did contact Baby K'tan via their website and they said that if you order from them they will ship it to Dubai. It looks so comfy and easy to use - can't wait to have it (along with bubs to put in it!).

I spent 3 nights in the maternity ward at City a couple of weeks ago after a fairly heavy bleed and found the nurses to be lovely - it was a very scary time for me but they all put me at ease and made me as comfortable as possible. Thankfully bubs is OK - am now at home on bedrest. Which Ob are you with, CK1?

Confused 1st time mum-to-be question! I've ordered the Madela Swing and a lovely friend will be bringing it over for me from the UK (so much cheaper). But i'm wondering whether anyone can let me know if I can use this with the Philips Avent Microwave steraliser (currently on sale in Babyshop!)? On the box the steraliser says it says it can only be used with Philips Avent pumps, but i'm guessing this is just a ploy to get you to buy their pumps?! Thanks for your help

Hi there Kent10. Congrats on your pregnancy. I'm due in early Sept. Seems to be going so quickly now and have noticed big growth spurt since 20 weeks. We're trying to resist finding out the *** of the baby - it's very tempting but for us we think it's nice to have the surprise. Do you think you're going to find out? It would certainly make shopping less confusing :-)

No accident report - thankfully there were no other cars involved - just my bumper and a silly grate thing sticking out in the car park. There's a very noticeable dent in the bumper area. I'm thinking it's better to get it fixed than risk waiting till I return it and the rental co charging a fortune.

I crashed the hire car this morning and am in BIG trouble with DH! Anyone know where I can get the front bumper section of a toyota yaris fixed without it costing an arm and a leg? Don't think i'll be able to get away with the tipex this time! TIA :-)

Exactly the same thing happened to me at 10 weeks - my symptoms stopped overnight at around 10 weeks. I think in the end I made my boobs sore again from poking them so much to see if they were still sore! I barely slept at night until my 12 week scan as I was so worried that something had gone wrong, but all was fine :-) I'm sure you will be too so try not to worry (easier said than done I know). xx

Hi ladies, Thanks for starting this thread fairycakeyumm. I am also due in Sept (7th) with my first and plan to be here over summer, eek! Very excited about it all but also bit daunting as I have no idea what i'm doing, what I need etc. Looking forward to chatting to you all over the months and hopefully catching up at the coffee mornings some time. xx
