Hi all. I ve read new KHDA regulations for advanced payment of fees.
Nothing is mentioned about how much should be refunded if we decide not to send our kids in a school we paid registration fees in advance and that we inform the school BEFORE the new school year start.
I have re enrolled my kids in the same school just to have them somewhere next school year as this is the only place they have a secured seat. But I am highly dissatisfied and we re on waiting lists in other schools.
Can we have the full amount paid back? Especially that school pretends to have huge waiting lists and that my kids seats would be filled the same day we withdraw them.
Does not seem fair that school keeps money on one side and gets same amount for the same seats on another side. We all know this money won't be used for education purposes at all.
By the way, since the government is clearly helping the schools to maintain and grow a high profit profile rather than a better education level, then schools are officially similar to supermarkets and should be ruled according to same principles.
Can we complain and ask our money back when a school has patently lied and consistently fail to provide the level of education the promise?
