Hello ladies, firstly, happy new year in advance to everyone. My 7 week old baby girl is due for vaccination which is for 2 month old this Thursday, as we do not have an insurance for her yet, we registered her instead at Al Barsha Center (which is the nearest to our place). I would like to ask how's the procedure? Do we need to book an appointment or we can visit directly - walk in? Any fees? How's your experience? Thanks in advance!

Hello ladies, just would like to check with you especially those mummies here when did you go out with your newborn outside, what age are they? I have now a 9 day old baby and couldn't send my 3 year old son to school coz I'm a bit worried if it's not the right time yet. But, I also feel guilty with my eldest coz I couldn't bond with him anymore. Thanks in advance

Hello ladies, I know there were some previous thread here about City & Doc Elsa. I had also my first delivery (CS) with my first child in 2010, and I can say I was happy with her that's why I still decided to have my second one with her again this time. Been reading some good/bad feedback about their experiences but just would like to ask whether they still have the same care for patients like what I had before now as well as with Doc Elsa considering she's been having a very tight schedule this time? Any feedback is very much appreciated. Thanks

Have the same case as yours HopefulA and truly thanks for the advices... Indeed, God is great!

Thanks a lot, ladies... truly appreciate all your messages to lift my hopeless heart then... Sorry for not being able to reply since my last post, it was really hard and those 3 weeks of waiting, and it kills me... This morning was the "judgement day". Visited my OB and had another scan to see the baby at City Hospital. Brought all my stuff, in case I will be asked for a DC. And to my surprise, "miracles" do really happen - WE SAW HER THIS TIME... and now with the heartbeat too of 182 bpm!!! It's really wonderful and I almost cried (considering she's my 2nd baby now!). Lessons learned, if in case you had a negative result, whether pregnancy or health issues here, make sure to get another option or second opinion. I might lose this baby if I just sticked with Clinic A (where I was diagnosed "missed miscarriage" and wants to put me on DC!)....

Tara, good to hear of another Dr Josza fan. What type of delivery did you have? I had a cs with my first and desperately want a vbac this time. He seems very pro and is very positive and willing to help me achieve this. Juliana, I'm due early November. How about you? edited by MallQueen on 12/03/2013 Hi Mallqueen, im also due early November! :) called up Dr. Elsa and the earliest booking for her is only this 22nd of April! :( Any suggestions?

Hi ladies, appreciate all your response and time. I am just really worried coz I do not want to experience what I had on my first delivery. I was on CS then, and had to return after a week to have a minor operation again where they injected a big needle to suck some blood cloating inside my tummy! :-( Got also an infection and was chilling for 3 days after I was sent out of the hospital. So i do not want to experience it again! :-( Have anyone recently tried Dr. Elsa at City, and how's your experience at City Hospital? Are the service ok? Heard a lot about Dr. Petrova of Cooper too, will check her as well, I am just unsure whether my insurance will cover it though. Thanks a lot Dangerous blonde, Tara K, SabrinaW, Cleo4e, glowingcandle and Kaba. For MallQueen, when is your due? Are you on CS before or normal? I hope this time around it's normal for me...

In our case your husband needs to apply Thanks a lot Sweetybeety! So it means, you brought your parents here under your husband's sponsorship and can never try for ourselves?

You have to take into account the tax laws in the UK, finding and renting a property. Nursery or childcare for your child ( dependant upon age) and this is free to UK residents There are so many factors to consider. Uk is cheaper than Dubai for certain things like internet, food and clothes/toiletries etc other items are more expensive such as petrol and childcare Thanks a lot Louisedvs, quite surprised on your reply that UK is more cheap than Dubai? It's a plus factor for me to consider the offer then, however, thinking of the taxes! -(

This is a how long is a piece of string question, however I would want something fairly hefty by way of salary especially if I was a single parent (you don't mention a partner) as I imagine you'd need a live in carer. Is you company offering any housing allowances etc? Thanks for your reply Suze63. Honestly, they didn't give me the official offer yet and we'll discuss everything on after 2 weeks. Verbally, they told me that they'll consider me to move in our head office, and prepare every question I have in mind during our meeting. So, I preferred to get all the ideas with me in case they'll let me know what is the salary and benefits they're willing to offer.

Hello there! I am fairly new in our Dubai team and worked in the company for only 5 months. Unfortunately, our office will soon be closed and was given an opportunity to work in our other branch in the UK, just would like to ask what's the minimum salary I need to consider, considering cost of living and taxes. Plus, I have a 2 year old son to consider, in as much as possible I want him to be with me, is it possible to bring him along with me? Are there any benefits for an expats like us? Appreciate to hear your feedback. Have a blessed day!
