I have suffered depression many years ago and successfully had it treated with SSRI's and therapy. Unfortunately having a rough time of it and the symptoms are back. However I have heard that SSRI's are not available in UAE and wondered is this true. Looking for a doctor (preferably Western) who can help me. Does anyone have any recommendations Hello, have you tried something different,like EFT (emotional freedom technique) let me know if you are interested. Dear PennyLane, it is hard to live outside your home and community,you took the decision to come here and that is because you wanted better life for your daughter so by all means you did not let her down,i feel your pain i am here for 8 years and i miss home every day.i miss my sister and her children i miss everything and as you are saying my home over there is not the best but again its where i belong,dont let the homsickness control you and kids always react at that age if you are happy your daughter will be happy,you are in dubai but UK is in your heart,you can cook the same food,watch the same tv,meet as much people you can from the UK you will get over it i am sure,let me know if you need to talk further you are not alone:)
