AUH is not the best place to be looking for a job. The market is completely saturated, government contracts have all but dried up, the cost of living is expensive and yes, you can stay in Abu Dhabi as a tourist for 30 days but you certainly cannot work unless you are sponsored Good luck
Thank you derien, everywhere is struggling these days and I realise I will need to get sponsored if I found work to obtain a work permit. :-)
@busybee I have just been checking and I don't actually need a visa as a 'British Citizen' and as far as I can see I can stay for 30 days and possibly extend to 90 days and I don't have to be sponsored, perhaps someone who actually knows for sure can clarify this. Its difficult everywhere.
