Yes, done it in Dubai Mall and it was super amazing!!! I did that during Ramadan and I was there alone with the divemaster (and all the sharks). I'm experienced diver with around 100 dives and also many my diver friends enjoyed it but it's also possible to do as a non-diver. And it was super hilarious when people were taking so many photos from outside and kids waving back to us :)

What would you like to suggest for visitors to do in Dubai if budget doesn't matter? Some ideas: -a couple of nights at Al Maha -renting a yacht for a day -afternoon tea in Burj al Arab / Burj Khalifa -Hammam at One&Only -Helicopter tour – maybe ending up to Burj al Arab TIA

Talk to Leila at Beauty Within in Marina (near Sheraton) or lovely ladies at iGlow in JLT (near metro station) - both know European hair very well.

Two night min in Petra - spend a full day there but also go there early in the morning before the tourist groups arrive. I'd love to do the night tour - it was available when we visited. I love Petra :)

What about traveling to Scandinavia? Not that many swimming pools there but you can have your private lake!

I know a large hotel chain that uses the packet eggs. They say it is a health and safety issue due to egg shell! Eg. cracking 200 eggs and the last one has shell in it. Agree that on request, a chef should be able to accommodate a request like this due to allergies. Are you sure it's not because the packets are pasteurised? I think many places here use the pasteurized packaged for health & safety. But thanks for the laugh :)))

Most of the places in Internet/Media City have been open in previous years. I remember years ago when we always had Ramadan lunches at Hard Rock Cafe!

It was 200000+ for DXB-JFK-DXB, around 310000 DXB-MIA-DXB Even taxes are included. You can also pay partially with miles, partially with cash.

I feel like the Air Miles program needs a boost. There aren't a lot of decent options to redeem or collect (unless you have an HSBC card). Yes, first when I had the card I only collected miles at Spinneys so not much. But loving the feature that most airlines are included and also taxes are paid (and also option to pay partially with miles, partially with money).

Only miles which are more than 3 years old. I never checked my balance before so was nicely surprised about the miles I accumulated via HSBC cards :)

You were in the wrong place. That's why there was no entrance. Even if I was in the wrong place, there were 12 other people like me. And the best thing we even called the number that was on webpage and it was off. Probably organiser should provide with more detailed information. There's no 'if' about it. Yogafest is at Internet City Amphitheatre, always has been. It's a different place to Media City Amphitheatre, hence the different name. I don't dispute that they should have turned their phone on, I'm just trying to make sure you know where to go next time. Sorry to disagree with you but the picture you just posted is from Dubai Media City Amphitheatre... I can 100% assure you it's not. I've been going to many yoga classes there; always been on the ground green area next to lake visible in the link. Best parking behind DIC building #1. And will be there this afternoon as well!!!

Flown with them to few places and they were ok, a bit better than Air Arabia which is also ok. The timings to Maldives are not good; checked some flights and Fly Dubai was dhs1750 and EK dhs2200 so not that big difference.

You can try Etihad as well. Connecting flight would be cheaper (Gulf Air, Cathay, Air China...)

What is the hygiene like in 5 star hotels? I don't plan on eating out of the hotel and would avoid ice in drinks etc. Hygiene in 5 star hotels is good - I was only once sick in India, and that was after eating ice cream at Taj Mahal... It took 24hrs and then I was all fine again! I have traveled in many places in India, in some cheaper hotels I only survived with potato chips and Coke - was not even willing to try other food!

I love India - it's so incredible! I have taken Air India directly from Dubai to Goa; its ok and I really love curries onboard :). Park Hyatt Goa has an award winning spa (I have seen better facilities but treatments were very nice), hotel otherwise is a bit old. Taj hotels and Leela are always nice. What about Seychelles, Mauritius or safari in Kenya?

I love Petra :). We stayed at Movenpick Petra; next to gates and really enjoyed going to the ancient city at 6am!!! Cannot remember the exact timings but I think it was a couple of hours from Amman airport to Petra and a couple of hours from Petra to Dead Sea and then one hour from Dead Sea to airport. We had a car with a driver. Thu morning / Sunday evening flight should be just great!

So many things happening all the time in Dubai. If you are a foodie, on Sunday there will be a Secret Supper Club meeting or you could participate an organized food tour. Also lots of networking events happening all the time; some are for professional networking, some for social. And then of course Meet up.

Its great for a day trip from HK - I'm not keen on gambling but nice to see all those casinos. Visited Venetian, Wynn, and many others. It was a weekend and we bought one way ferry tickets, on the way back economy class was sold out but business class was not much more expensive.

I love St. Pete - was there last time in July for white nights! EK flies directly to St. Pete and Copenhagen (Russia is much colder than Denmark). What about Helsinki? Finnair flies 3 times per week directly. Currently there's around half of meter snow in Helsinki, should be even more by late Jan! And Stockholm is always fantastic :)
