I think FF was being sarcastic. We sometimes have a maid who comes but mostly do everything ourselves. She doesn't always get it right but I don't log onto a forum to start threads moaning about how stupid and incompetent these maids are - I just do whatever she didn't do myself. It really isn't a big deal. Meanwhile in the South Indian ocean... Maybe - it is not the fist time I have seen her post such comments though - hence mine. Without being sarcastic - I find it possible to dwell on more then one subject at a time - both the serious and the frivolous. Discussing one does not block out any thoughts or discussion of the other. I get that - but at the same time, I don't know what the purpose of this thread is other than to ridicule and b!tch about a part time maid, which seems nasty and unnecessary. What is the point? If you don't like it, do it yourself or get another cleaner. yet we seem to have a weekly commentary about how this maid didn't do this or didn't do that, or messed this up to the point of bragging because the OP made the last maid cry. I'm sorry but that doesn't sit well with me. I would be able to respond much more positively to someone who posted "I've had a few cr@ppy maids can anyone recommend a decent company". It really is very trivial. If my hubby can iron his own shirts wearing his boxers every morning then I think most people here can do it! Well, TDB, she is YOUR friend after all. Why don't you tell her off directly.

Jeez..... I wish it was me, I think that I would enjoy dragging you through the courts. It is ok to make a mistake and not realize that one has nudged a car ( you didn't say crashed, did you?). Besides breaking the law and planning to do further illegal activity, I find your online etiquette pretty rough. We would have enjoyed dragging you through court for selling non-halal chicken to muslims too. Now, that is on your head into the afterworld.

I think my budget is around 300 Dhs. Is this reasonable or too low? DD's cheapest abaya was Dh8,000 which makes me think that yours is a low budget. She always buys from Hanayen. 8k? Hope that was a typo :-) I also hope so Ladie$, ladie$... You forget there are people who live in a different world of their own. Well, I find the budget with minimum average of Dh10,000 works out just nice for me.

What about creating a cycle lane for those who use the bicycles? This is a very important thing, better than building more malls that last time seen the sun when they built the roof. This is the dumbest idea I have heard in ages. It will not be profitable and it is not really something that the UAE Nationals will use (maybe a few), so why should they make it? Really? Not a profitable idea. But it's not dumb. The Police Chief brought up the same idea.

Me too - watched on Friday afternoon..... was dissapointed.... Of course they brought beep back from the dead......... Why would you write that? Talk about spoil it for others I believe it was aired last night, I did record the series link, and watched it after the school run, it was 2 episodes so no spoilers here, even the re-run is aired on 11 am this morning. couldn't understand what is the reference of bringing beep back from the dead tho? I havent watched it yet and she said: Of course they brought beep back from the dead.........
