Hi there Ladies, I am due for 2nd week of july..havent attended any antenantal classes as we thought we would get it done in the package purchased with Latifa hospital. I have been trying to look around for one but no one seems to help with the updated information.
so i decided last week to get it done from outside...there are still 9 weeks to go..can anyone please suggest an option for classes i could still avail and ofcourse if its still not too late.

When did they 'discontinue' the product? Have you tried checking with their customer support & website whether this is actually the case?
There are a couple of places you can try registering a complaint:
http://www.ia.gov.ae/en/Pages/default.aspx & https://www.eclaimlink.ae/default.aspx. The 2nd link was officially launched for insurance complaints & suggestions.

Thanks for posting the response with the links, i am now going to register my grievance on the websites.
they did not gave a concrete answers when my insurance broker informed me in January 2014, he told me at that time that Insurance company might come with a substitute or a possible upgrade, they havent as yet. I have email records of conversation with the insurance broker as well as the health insurance provider ( who mentions that for some reason DHA has not approved their insurance plans).
It will be great to have someone hear the plea..it becomes so much difficult otherwise even after you plan for these situations!

I have been spending a lot of time these days on a unique situation i am confronted with. Past 2 years i have been a part of individual insurance cover which offered maternity cover. I am 23 weeks pregnant and this time just before the policy renewal i am informed by my broker that the medical insurance company has discontinued the product. I have been chasing both the broker and medical insurance company to consider my case as i had renewed it last year considering my waiting period was over and i could avail the maternity coverage.
this has come as a total surprise and i dont know who could help me getting the justice. The insurance company should take the responsibility to renew the insurance.
I have heard cases where the cost of neonatal care costs could be skyrocketing...any advise would be great!
