Hello ladies, I have been sick for quite a while now (I have an undiagnosed autoimmune disease) and I am desperate to be healthy again. I am now on a very strict healthy diet, have cut the booze out, started getting more excercise and I am on the slow road back to recovery. Since I have been sick I have started looking at 'alternative/complimentary medicine' and I heard from a friend that acupuncture can help with various health issues and I would like to give it a go. So my questions are are; 1. have you had acupuncture and if so, has it helped with any health issues you may have had? 2. who do you go to see out here? and 3. is it expensive? Many thanks xxx edited by MollyMooMoo on 16/09/2014 Hi, Moomoo such a cute name. sorry to hear that for you. I think in your case it's not bad to try Chinese medicine doctors. The treatment like cupping, acupuncture and moxibustion is actually working on the whole body system. I visit Dr. Huafei Li for many years since I move to Dubai. He always suprises me :)

I'm really hoping someone may have experienced something similar to me and can offer some kind of solution. I have been suffering with neck and shoulder problems for over 8 years now. I have been treated by 5 different chiropractors on an almost monthly basis and I am still in pain. I have even given up work now hoping that taking it easier would help but it hasn't. I have tried exercising, not exercising, yoga, swimming, physio etc. Nothing makes a difference long term. I am only 32 so I really don't want to take painkillers/anti inflammatories for the rest of my life. I had x rays taken a few years ago but they didn't show anything nasty. I know lots of people suffer and put up with far worse medical conditions but being in chronic mild pain 5 out of 7 days a week is really starting to get me down. Guess you should just try moxibustion! I had also pain from my neck to shoulder after I deliver my second child.I realise no matter which position I keep ( standing or sitting even lying ), after a certain time, I start to feel pain in my neck to the shoulder. Thanks god I met Dr. Li working in Emirates european medical center, I couldn't believe it could go away as I've tries phythothrapy, chropratic and strong massage everywhere, he did for me acupuncture and then taught me how to use moxibustion. only after one month! I dont have the pain any more, feel so grateful !

Can anyone recommend a good acupuncturist? I just called Dubai Mall medicentre and their Dr has her next free appointment in June! Really want to be feeling better before then. It is for back pain due to slipped discs if that makes any difference. TIA Hi, ladies, Dr.Huafei Li from Emirates European Medical Center is fantastic. He speaks good English and always very patient. I've visited few Chinese medicine doctors in Dubai, he is the only one who always does tongue and pulse diagnosis. And he also shares advices on the life style, which I found super helpful. I respond perfectly with his treatment. I go to him for few compliants like migrine, neck pain and insomnia etc. he just does magic! Here is the website http://www.chiropracticdubai.com/your-acupuncture-specialist-at-eemc/dr-huafei-li/

Hello ladies. I am searching for a good Chinese medicine practitioner who also speaks fluent English, in Dubai. I have been suffering from lower back pain and fatigue and physiotherapy, chiropractor, yoga, and massages just don't seem to help. From a search online I have self diagnosed myself with weak kidney energy but now need a good doctor to confirm it and "fix" me. Any recommendations? Also, do you know the rates? As this obviously isn't covered by my insurance. Thanks! I highly recommend Dr.Huafei Li from Emirates European Medical Center. He speaks good English and always very patient.
