Hi Sazzle, So sorry to hear you are having to go through this. My mum had bowel cancer a few years ago and now lives with a colostomy bag. She has lived here off and on for the last few years and is due out again next week. She will be here for a month. If you would like anything brought over from the UK, please let me know. I told her about your post so she may try and post a message to you too. Thinking about you having to go through this. xx

My kids are 15 and 12 so passed the stage of meeting other mums at the school gate! I have been working with my dad so not really getting a chance to meet other people. I'd love to meet other people with older kids. X

DBS, is great location for living in the Springs. We were in Springs 2 and our kids age 12 & 15 were able to walk to school. We have recently moved but still in walking distance to the school. When we moved to Dubai we organised the school first, then found somewhere to live close by. Good luck with your search!

Does anyone know if my son, who will be 15 later this month, is in 4th year in the UK and has done the first year of the National 5 course (Scottish GCSE equivalent) will be able to join Year 10 mid way through? Thanks for any help :cool:

Hi ladies, I'm looking for any thoughts/ experiences you have had with moving older kids to Dubai. Both kids spent a few years here when they were younger but we have been in Scotland for the last 5 years. We are now seriously considering moving back (hopefully around Xmas time) and wondered if anyone has had experience in settling older kids in to Dubai life, school etc. ideally we are looking at The Ranches so any help advice about schools would be brilliant.
