Hi Sofi, sorry about creating the confusion between Sofi and Sophie but I specifically checked with Sam over our chat on your website before posting that info. Nonetheless, I am glad that the moms have someone to turn to for cloth diaper guidance :)

Update - The website suggested by Horizonmum2 (http://eggsnsoldiers.com/) has a warehouse in Al quoz where one can visit & actually see the products & Sofi from Arte Souq is associated with them. They also have a baby bazaar on the 30th Jan, from 9am-2pm at Times Square. Location map for the warehouse - https://static.livechatinc.com/6490521/O1HKI2LSY4/5bb0acf5223668fe54e931a0d587352c/CT%20Location%20Map.JPG

i've previously bought at the Arte Souq... but haven't had the need of these for a long time so haven't been on the lookout... you could alternatively buy cheaper alternatives at Babyshop however if ur looking for the proper imported varieties then check this [url=http://eggsnsoldiers.com/product-category/cloth-nappies/nappies/all-in-ones/'>link[/url'> or [url= http://www.babycheeks.ae/'>link[/url'> Thanks HorizonMum2. DD is due in March and I have picked up a piece from Babyshop but they have mixed reviews online, so will buy more only if they suit my daughter's needs. The first link you provided has some of the brands I wanted so its good to know that they are available.

Hello There and welcome to the UAE. I’ve not had kids myself, but I’m in the insurance industry and can advise you from my experience. Medical insurance is now mandatory in Dubai. This includes maternity cover as well. All companies with more than 100 staff have already got insured. The next stage as per the DHA (dxb Health authority) is for those co’s with less than 100 staff , individual, spouses and domestics with the deadline set as end June 2016. So if your employer has not provided you with maternity now , they will have to provide you with this cover by next June. The level of cover and network of hospitals clinics will all depend on the insurer and package they opt for ,though there are minimum limits set by the DHA. However, I would always advise you to take insurance rather than a package as the package is very limited and may not be sufficient in case of an emergency and sooner the better as for individual policies there generally is a waiting period of 6-12 months before you can claim, depending on the insurer. Hope this helps and all the best  Hi Ladyjo, Since you belong to the insurance industry I wanted to check something with you. I have medical insurance from my organisation as well as my husband's, both covering maternity. Is it permissible to use both the policies or do I need to stick to one? I just had a chat with my insurance company & the cost estimates they have given me for my current hospital are way higher than the limit I have on my card. I was wondering if I can use the card/ policy from my husband's organisation to make up for the deficit. Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Ladyjo, my insurance covers all the reputable & big hospitals including Welcare & Al Zahra. I was also under the impression that I need not go for a package but the midwives at Welcare themselves told me to get one (they are aware that I have insurance). Anyway, I am due to call my insurance company help line today to sort these out including the cover for new born which I think will be on reimbursement basis till the baby's insurance card comes.

Thanks for your advice comp99. I had visited Welcare for their maternity tour this weekend and the midwives said its best to sign up with a package as that will keep costs under control. But what you said about keeping the doctor aware of the limit makes lot of sense. Only thing is I have had just one appointment with my doctor so there is no so called rapport with her yet, whether she will even be bothered to keep my limitations in mind is not something I am confident of. Still I will keep her in the loop & hope for the best.

I am due around mid march. Thankfully I did not have any morning sickness but I am super sensitive to certain smells & get nauseous when hungry. I recently joined a prenatal yoga class. Its just the 2 of us here & its tough taking care of everything on your own.
